Bought a brand new Kia Sorento from Jeff Belzers in
Bought a brand new Kia Sorento from Jeff Belzers in Lakeville in November of 2023 and started hearing chirping coming from the steering column and lots of new wind noise in the cabin of the vehicle. I live an hour and a half away from the dealership and I am currently on my third time having my brand new vehicle torn apart to try and fix the issues. In 2 days they have had my vehicle for an entire week and Joe called me today to let me know they have not yet fixed anything because they are still waiting for Kia to approve a new steering column. I tried to buy out of this vehicle because we have had so many issues and its not convenient to drive an hour and a half one way each time but the dealship basically tried to make me pay way more money than the trade was worth. I am. Now stuck in a horrible nightmare and wish I would have never gone to Jeff Belzers or purchased a brand new Kia!!!

WATCH THE FINAL NUMBERS…MAKE SURE THEY ARE WHAT YOU AGREED ON: Worked a deal with sales on a New 2023 Traverse Premier all done via email so I would have proof of the deal. I drove the 45 mins to this location because they had the best price. I was warned by another dealership that the price was going to change when I got there. I laughed and thought he was just being bitter because I was going there for $800 more off. When I arrived the salesman met me outside by the vehicle we talk a little then went inside to his desk. At this time he showed me two papers from finance about payments. I told him these were very confusing and I didn’t understand them there were no interest rates just monthly payments and not for the amount I was going to put down. He said not to worry that finance would answer any of my questions. He then told me that I would get a survey in a couple days and if I didn’t give him a 10/10 that it was a fail and would count against him. When walking over to the waiting area I even joke with the salesman at Belzer about the other dealerships comment that the price would change and he said yeah we are a lot lower than other dealers. After sitting for a few minutes the business manager pulled me in to go over payments this is when I realized the price quoted in emails has now changed by close to $500 dollars. I showed the email to the business manager who stated that is not something he would handle that would be between the salesman and the sales manager. We were put back in the waiting room where they salesman came and talked to us stating when he quoted me it was the summit white color not the iridescent pearl. I showed him the email thread that I clearly stated I wanted the iridescent pearl he even sent me the information on that vehicle. I asked “what will be the price if I use the 2.1% I was $50,940.” I can’t remember the exact price he had on the sheet but it was right around $500 dollars more than what he quoted. He states that the new price was correct and that my email price was a “mistake”. I told him that I was not going to pay the extra $500 he stated he would talk to his sales manager. About 3 mins later the business manager comes in to tell me that he was there listening to the conversation between the salesman and the sales manager they will not give me the vehicle for the price quoted in the email. He stated this was a mistake and everyone makes mistakes and that they will not honor the price. They lost a sale and now believe me I will tell everyone I know to stay clear of this dealership. I truly hope this was a mistake and not a bait and switch move. I know $500 is not a lot but it is the PRINCIPLE of the situation. Please read other reviews on Car Gurus!!!! Check BBB reviews 1/5!!!

I've heard for the past few years that Belzer's Chevrolet was the biggest dealer in Minnesota and I assumed they'd have to be good to hold that position. Dan made the deal / entire process extremely easy. What brought me into your dealership was the great deal on the truck, if you guys keep offering great deals more people will come. You guys realize that even though this truck was in high demand the current economy and people not buying trucks like they used to applies to your pricing which is great. Also the truck it’s awesome, Chevy knocked it out of the park with what they offer in this zr2 for the price. Right now you can price out a Jeep Gladiator Mojave at close to $70,000 and it’s still missing options the Colorado ZR2 has for around 50k. Even the Tacoma trd pro in the low $60’s doesn’t have a front locker. So thanks Chevy for making the exact truck people want for an awesome price. And thank you Dan for making the deal with me.

The team at Jeff Belzer's in Lakeville was great. My salesman, Tom Vitters, was a delight to work with. He was not pushy at all, and he answered all the questions I came prepared with. Tom was truly interested in finding the car that best fit me, whether it was used or new. I also got to work with Tim Tichich, in the finance department. He made the process very easy and straight forward. He was very upfront and clear on all my options for financing as a customer, and he took the time to explain everything to me, which I was very appreciative of. While the initial sales experience was positive, the follow-through on key details and extra warrantee left me very disappointed. Here are the specific issues I encountered: Missing Key: I specifically confirmed that I needed two keys before taking the car for a test drive, and was informed that it would not be a problem. Despite this, the second key wasn't readily available. I was told it would be mailed, but I have yet to receive it (as of July 2024) despite multiple follow-up calls (over 10). Always told the same we will get back to you and no one ever has. Extended Warranty: My inquiry about an extended warranty was brushed aside, and it was revisited when financing. I specifically mentioned wanting to use my credit card to rebuild credit, but the finance department then pressured me to add the warranty to my credit card. Unprepared Delivery: Upon picking up the car, it wasn't fully charged (despite calling ahead to confirm a full charge for the drive home). Additionally, the charging cable needed to be added to the trunk. We needed to go back that same night to get it, and we were given part of it, not all of it. Questionable Service: I paid for a seat treatment, but I wonder if it was performed. Overall, the lack of attention to detail and follow-through significantly impacted my experience. This was a significant purchase for me, amounting to around $20,000, and the dealership's lapses unfortunately overshadowed the initial positive interaction. I sincerely hope this review helps other potential customers be aware of these issues and make informed decisions. I also hope the garage gets back to me as we wanted to go by truck and send friends there, but now everything is on hold.

Yesterday we purchased a Kia Telluride at Jeff Belzer's in Lakeville, We had been to another dealership twice and had made many calls. We were drawn to Jeff Belzer's because of an outstanding vehicle price. Even though our sales rep Marshall Berg knew we intended to buy, he spent time with us walking us around the outside, inside and through the technology. He helped us look at color and interior options and even took us on a test drive of the actual car we were thinking to buy. He gave us insightful information and tips and helped us through decision-making. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He walked us through all of the next steps with careful information, laying out all of the options in a clear way. We then were setn on to Donny Abboud, an expert with accessories. He knew his stuff and gave us some good discounts. From there we met with our finance guy David Moghadam. He was friendly and efficient and made the whole process pleasant. He knew the answers to all our questions. Clearly very professional and knowledgeable. Thomas Fisher was our Delivery Coordinator. He helped us make our newly detailed car our own. He connected our phones to our new car, walked us around the outside and interior providing really important information and how-to's. Then he taught us about all the wonderful safety technology and how to use it, helping us set up certain aspects. He also gave us important tips along with do's and don'ts, all the practical stuff you need to know. Our experience was truly remarkable. I actually asked to give a review because I was so impressed and thankful. Price and service at Jeff Belzer's is the best!
