Charlie’s on Prior Hosts 6th Annual Beer & BBQ Fest

If you’ve lived in Minnesota long enough, you know winter does not have to mean staying indoors. One of the best examples is the Beer & BBQ Fest at Charlie’s on Prior, a one-of-a-kind community event that brings people together for great flavors, live entertainment, and a good cause.

Jeff Belzer’s was proud to sponsor this year’s festival, helping support a local tradition that puts the spotlight on Prior Lake and the people who make this community special.

Highlights From a Classic Minnesota Winter Festival

Every community event has its own vibe. Beer & BBQ Fest found a fun balance between laid-back and lively, with plenty to do once you arrived. If you missed the fun this year, make sure this annual event is on your radar for 2027! This typically takes place around January-February at Charlie’s on Prior in Prior Lake, MN.

Unlimited samples from Minnesota makers

The tasting lineup included unlimited samples of craft beer, seltzers, wine, and spirits featuring local breweries and producers from across Minnesota. It was a great chance to try something new!

BBQ right from the smoker

The other headliner was the food. Guests could enjoy BBQ samples straight from the smoker, which is exactly what you want when you are outside on a winter day.

Music and entertainment on the ice

The festival also featured a DJ, keeping the energy up throughout the event. With the lake as the backdrop, it felt less like “just another tasting” and more like a true winter celebration.
