Teen Driving Technology Features
With this technology through Chevrolet, it’s easy to create good driving habits and decision-making with your teen, even when you’re not in the car with them. Let’s go through everything you can do.
- In-Vehicle Report Card: This driving report card shows you essential information from your teen’s last trip. This includes distance driven, maximum speed, Forward Collision Alerts, and events such as antilock brake, stability control, and avoidance braking. This is a great opportunity as a parent to monitor your teen’s driving and identify potential areas of improvement.
- Mandatory Seat Belt: With Chevrolet’s Buckle to Drive feature, you must be buckled to shift the vehicle. They’ll get an audible and visual alert on your screen so that your teen can’t go anywhere without buckling up.
- Speed and Volume Limits: On the infotainment center, you can set a maximum speed and volume that your teen must adhere to. The vehicle will not let it go beyond these maximum limits.
How To View Report Card and Set Limits
Looking at your teen’s report card and setting up the maximum speed limit and volume in your Chevrolet is super easy! Follow these simple steps:
- On your infotainment center, go to Settings, then Vehicle, then Teen Driver
- Create a PIN that only you know
- Set any controls you wish, and view the report card
With these tools, Chevrolet’s Teen Driver Technology makes it easy for parents to stay involved and help their young drivers establish good habits.
